Mad for Alice.

// Let’s face it, we all went through a brief moment in our tweens when Jay Jay’s was the answer to looking cool in high school. Cheap farmer jeans, bird-shit t-shirts, peasant skirts, the Just Jean’s spin-off had it all at a one stop affordable shop. Granted, I haven’t stepped foot inside the store since I was an acne-faced trouble maker and probably wouldn’t again, but they appear to have grabbed my attention with their new Alice In Wonderland inspired line of, let me emphasize, affordable stock.

Emo’s rejoice! Your chance to slip out of your usual checkered, black and red ensemble and into something slightly Alice tinged is here. And there seems to be nothing more inspired now.

Jean Paul Gaultier jacket, Nina Ricci boots, shot by Tim Walker for Harper’s Bazaar.

Fashion has always taken stock of film-fashion trends, and now Tim Burton’s reawakening of the classic Disney film has again triggered style choices. Jay Jay’s are not alone.
